- Log lengths are 2400mm (8ft) and 3600mm (12ft). Please specify if you have a preferred length, otherwise, boards will be made out of whatever we are cutting at the time to reduce lead time.
- Expect a lead time of around 1-2 weeks if boards are in stock or up to 8 weeks if order needs to be cut fresh, please do contact us before ordering to clarify.
- Deliveries within Pembrokeshire: Standard delivery is £35. We are unable to provide a day or time as it will depend on order volume and when a driver is in your area but will deliver within 5 working days of the order being completed.
- Deliveries outside of Pembrokeshire: We ship nationwide using 3rd party companies, please continue to checkout and cost will be calculated after entering your postcode. For smaller, more manageable orders we will ship using a courier. Please allow up to a week for delivery upon completion. For larger orders we will ship a palletized delivery via haulier, in this case Multiple people would need to be on hand at time of delivery to handball off vehicle, if this is not possible, we will need to cancel the order. We will contact you prior to despatch to confirm this/discuss delivery timescale

Ideal for exterior wall cladding and other outdoor uses – larch and douglas fir are extremely durable timbers that don’t require treating, it should have a lifespan for around 25 years although the colour will weather grey over time. Should you wish to prevent the colouring, or add your own colour to the timber, please see our choice of Fiddes wood protectors from the drop-down.
British Larch is our cheapest profiled timber. Whilst it is still a high quality, durable timber, it contains more knots than Siberian larch and cedar. It has more of a red tinge through its grain and is more likely to move and shrink (we recommend fitting with Tongue Tite Cladding Screws).
What grade is our larch/cedar? We do not grade our softwoods. As a company, we produce 0% wood waste so use the whole of the log from the whole of the tree to produce our boards.
Both profiles can be fixed both vertically and horizontally.
Freshly sawn larch should be used as soon as possible upon delivery to prevent cupping/movement in the wood. It should be stored in a shaded area and laid flat with weight on top/strapped down.
