We offer a hassle-free 30-day returns policy for all non-bespoke items. If your product arrives damaged or incorrect, contact us immediately, and we'll arrange a replacement or discuss compensation.
To qualify for a refund or replacement, notify us within 30 days of receipt, and ensure the item is returned unused, in its original packaging.

We stock the UK's largest supply of used wine barrels. They are generally between 5-10 years old and have been crafted by expert keepers using the highest quality quarter-sawn oak and galvanised steel bands.
The strength of these barrels means that, even after they are no longer suitable for ageing wine, they are still perfect the be cut into oak wine barrel planters.
Depending on the current stock we have in, planters may have galvanised silver steel bands or they may be painted black, they also may have the red band across the belly of the barrel as per some photos in the gallery. Please message us before ordering if you have any queries regarding this.

Please note, larger orders of multiple barrels may be delivered on a pallet via haulier. This may require multiple people to help unload or somewhere safe for the barrel(s) to be left, kerbside/on accessible drive only. The haulier will not be expected to position the barrels in a particular place (around back of house or through a passageway etc).
Please note that these are reclaimed, used barrels and therefore there will be marks from transport, possible surface cracks in the wood and weathering to accompany the barrel's character and red wine scent.
If you have any questions about this, please message us first before ordering. If we have to redeliver the pallet, a charge of £50 will be passed on to the customer. If you are only able to receive delivery on a specific weekday, please state in the order notes of the checkout.

I bought 2 the barrels then another four, see attached picture. I have put Fiddes High Build Exterior Wood Protective Oil on the 2 on the left. one can covers 4 barrels 3 coats
Excellent quality, very authentic since it still smelt very strongly of alcohol upon arrival, delivery company also very good. I bought this larger sized half-cask to plant an olive tree in it and it looks perfect
This is our second purchase from Celtic Timber as was so pleased with the quality and service we received the barrel still had a wonderful smell of the wine and character as well wonderful planters
I ordered 2 and the quality was better than expected. I’m using to contain the bamboo plant in my garden as the bamboo damage my lawn. When delivered it was a nice surprise to have a barrel still infused with wine or sherry.
