Very pleased - excellent service and butt just what we wanted. Should have avoided the request for a hole for the down pipe in the lid - it’s not the same as a hole for a water diverter in the butt itself - but my fault
I’m very happy with my new water butt. As other reviewers have said you can still smell the whisky, I hope my plants don’t keel over drunk 🥴 not much chance at the moment as there is no rain to fill it up!

The oak barrel I received is far less photogenic than the one which appears in much of the company's online promo material. It has a blue painted lid, which I was not expecting. For the considerable amount of money it cost, I'm disappointed with the appearance of the barrel received. To be fair, the company did say I could return it for a refund, but this involves too much hassle - these barrels weigh over 60kg.
2 equally sized pieces of wood which have raised my water butt sufficiently high enough to place a watering can beneath the tap.
The barrel water butt arrived on time and the two men kindly took it across the garden to the plinth we'd built for it. Opened the lid and - wow! - the whisky fumes almost overwhelmed me (in a good way!). I filled it with water and it leaked in a very small way from the bottom, but the next day it was watertight and completely dry on the outside. It looks really great, and Celtic Timber had drilled the inlet hole at 11 o'clock, as I'd requested. The drainpipe diverter kit was inside the barrel when it arrived, along with the brass tap. The tap is very stiff to use, and it takes a couple of turns to get a good flow coming, but that will loosed up in time (I hope!). Overall, a great way to conserve water without ruining the look of the garden.
