I was disappointed with the appearance of the barrel, it was not as good as on the advert

Brilliant. We bought two whisky barrels and they are perfect. They look and feel just right. We will enjoy looking at it and using it for many years to come.
Barrell is great. Only problem was supplying the tap which has a check valve which doesn't work on a water butt. Only good for mains pressure

So I had a very specific idea for this barrell, so what good about them is their versatility, they are old, used & deffo show signs of usage. It arrived as described, (not as picture shows in it's renovated state).
I wanted to use it as a Bog Filter to filter 2 x ponds as well as sharing usage for a waterfall, stream & second mini filter in a aluminium bucket.
Perfect replacement for the ugly green plastic butt to complement the new rendering and new decking
Perfect. I'm so glad we went for solid timber! I had looked at various laminated versions for our bathroom shelf, it was marginally cheaper but honestly the saving would not have been worth it at all - what a false economy that was. Thanks 😊
I ordered 2 of the half barrels and I’m absolutely delighted with them.
Excellent quality, solid and authentic with a whiff of wine about them! Super quick delivery. Great for large shrubs and trees. Highly recommend.
