High-quality, kiln-dried hollow oak beam cladding —available in U-Shape (3-sided) or L-Shape (2-sided) - designed to cover RSJs and other structural steelwork. Crafted from 20mm thick joinery-grade oak boards, these beams offer a touch of natural elegance while providing a discreet concealment solution.
All beams are handcrafted to order, especially our Lightly or Heavily Worked styles - so once production starts, dimensions and finishes can’t be altered; please double-check all measurements before ordering, and for any bespoke sizes or non-standard finishes, contact us beforehand to discuss feasibility and lead times.

Due to the limitations of our kiln-drying and transport processes, each single oak plank can be ordered up to a maximum of 2800mm in length. If you select a length greater than this (up to our 5000mm ceiling), we’ll split your order into two pieces, kiln-dry each separately, then join them together on-site. If you absolutely require a single piece span over 2800mm, do get in touch with us before ordering so we can discuss alternatives.

When shipping via third-party couriers or hauliers, we sometimes glue temporary timber supports on the inside of each hollow beam to brace it against potential damage. These will need to be hammered out prior to installation.

We offer three different finishes:
Contemporary: Planed and sanded with rounded corners, showcasing the oak’s natural grain and pale hue in its purest form.
Lightly Worked: After planing and sanding, a subtle curve is added to the face edges, which introduces gentle character without overly masking the wood’s natural look.
Heavily Worked: Similar to Lightly Worked but with deeper, more pronounced curves that lend a rustic, three-dimensional texture.
Because each beam is hand-finished when you choose Lightly or Heavily Worked, no two pieces are exactly alike. This artisanal process means every beam carries its own unique markings and character.

Pembrokeshire Deliveries: Shipping is free within Pembrokeshire. While we cannot promise a specific delivery day or time - since it depends on driver availability in your area - you should receive your order within five working days of completion.
Rest of the UK: For smaller, standard-size orders, we use a national courier service. Once you complete checkout, delivery costs will be calculated based on your postcode, and you can generally expect your order within one week of completion. For larger orders (i.e., multiple beams requiring a pallet), we arrange a palletised delivery via a haulier. In this case, you must have multiple people available to assist with unloading upon arrival; if this cannot be ensured, we’ll need to cancel the order and contact you beforehand to discuss delivery logistics. Our current lead time from order to dispatch is approximately one to two weeks.

Oak is a natural product, and every board we use is Joinery Grade (QB2), meaning it contains fewer knots and blemishes than character-grade oak. Despite this classification, you may still observe slight variations in colour, grain pattern, or small sapwood streaks - especially since our beams are kiln-dried to stabilise moisture content. Those natural differences are part of the charm and ensure each beam is a one-of-a-kind feature in your home.

Before finalising your order, please note that beams are made to order and hand-finished - particularly for Lightly or Heavily Worked options - so once manufacture begins, dimensions and finish details cannot be changed. We strongly recommend double-checking all measurements prior to ordering. Additionally, any bespoke requests (e.g., unusual sizes beyond our standard range or alternative finish styles) require prior discussion to confirm feasibility and lead times.
