Each surround is made from three substantial pieces of solid oak — a mantle beam and two matching upstands — carefully prepared and finished to highlight the natural beauty of the timber. With its rich grain, natural knots and warm tones, real oak creates a fireplace that feels authentic, substantial and built to last.

Whether paired with a log burner, gas stove or traditional open fire, our oak surrounds provide a clean architectural frame that works beautifully in both traditional homes and modern interiors.

Built from Solid French Oak

We use character grade French oak, selected for its distinctive grain and natural features. No two pieces are ever the same, meaning every surround has its own unique appearance.

Your oak fireplace beam is supplied with the sufficient number and type of brackets for your chosen beam, this is included in the price.

Available bracket types:

• Straight brackets (easiest to install)
• T-Shape brackets
• Keyhole brackets

If you have a preference, please leave a note at checkout.

If no preference is stated:

• Straight brackets will be supplied as standard
• For beams with only 2" projection, keyhole brackets will be supplied

We do not pre-drill beams, as fixing positions must align precisely with your wall structure.

Customers should ensure compliance with relevant fire-safety and building regulations before installation.

We ship nationwide The delivery cost is calculated at checkout.

Smaller beams ship via courier.
Larger beams ship palletised via haulier.

For pallet deliveries, sufficient help must be available to unload by hand. If this is not possible, please contact us prior to ordering.

Delivery days are Weekdays only.

Impotant - Remove all packaging immediately upon delivery to allow the timber to breathe and acclimatise even if its not being fitted straightaway.

Oak is a natural product and each beam will vary slightly in:

• Colour
• Grain pattern
• Knots
• Surface cracks
• Character markings

Our character grade beams may contain natural splits and checks which can continue to develop as the timber acclimatises.

Although air-dried, oak may continue to shrink slightly as it adjusts to your property's temperature and humidity.

If installing above a fire or log burner, we recommend gradually increasing heat exposure over the first week.

These characteristics are not faults — they are part of the beauty of real solid oak.

Your beam includes a pot of your chosen protective oil.

Oil enhances the grain while protecting the timber.
