Solid Oak Finish Samples – Choose Your Oil Colour
Choosing the right finish for your oak can be difficult from a screen alone. Our Solid Oak Finish Samples allow you to see the colour, grain and character of our finishes on a genuine piece of oak before placing your order.
Each sample is cut from solid oak, carefully sanded and hand-finished in our workshop using the same professional-grade Koate One Coat Protective Oil that we use on our oak beams, shelves, window sills, worktops and furniture.
Samples are approximately 200mm × 100mm, providing a generous area to see how your chosen finish interacts with the natural grain and character of the timber.

Please Note
Oak is a natural material, so every piece will have its own individual grain, tone and character. Your finished product will therefore not be identical to the sample, but the sample will give you a much more accurate representation of the selected oil colour than viewing photographs on a screen.
Colours can also appear different depending on natural and artificial lighting, so we recommend viewing your sample in the room where your finished oak product will be installed.
If you're deciding between several finishes, you can order multiple samples and compare them side by side at home.
