A distinctive, space-saving shelving unit handcrafted from genuine solid oak.

The floating wall-mounted C-shaped design combines two practical shelf surfaces with a solid oak back panel, creating useful storage without taking up floor space. Ideal for bedrooms, hallways, kitchens, living rooms and utility spaces.

Made from 25mm thick solid oak and available in custom lengths from 400mm to 2400mm, each shelf is made to order to suit your space.

Supplied fully assembled and available with optional oil finishes.

Available individually or in matching sets of 2, 4, 6 or 8.

Each C-shaped shelf is handcrafted to your chosen length, allowing you to create a piece that fits your space precisely.

• Custom length: 400 mm – 2400 mm
• Oak thickness: 25 mm solid oak
• Construction: Two horizontal shelves with a solid oak back panel
• Made to order: Cut and finished to the exact length selected in the product calculator
• Supplied fully assembled: Ready for installation on arrival

Please measure your space carefully before ordering. As each shelf is made specifically to your chosen dimensions, custom-sized products may not be eligible for return or exchange unless faulty.

Natural solid oak can vary slightly in grain, colour and character, so every made-to-measure shelf will have its own individual appearance.

Our Solid Oak Floating Bedside Shelves are made to order with an estimated lead time of approximately 2 weeks.

Once your order is ready for dispatch, it will be carefully packaged to help protect the oak during transit.

Tracking information will be provided where available.

For larger quantity orders, production times may vary slightly depending on order size.

Each bedside shelf is supplied pre-drilled with recessed keyhole brackets, allowing it to sit neatly and securely against the wall with the fixings concealed from view.

For installation:

• Position and mark the fixing points on your wall
• Install suitable screws and wall plugs for your wall type
• Align the pre-fitted keyhole brackets with the screw heads
• Lower the shelf into position to secure it against the wall

Please note: Wall screws and plugs should be selected to suit the construction of your wall, whether masonry, plasterboard or timber studwork.

If you are unsure which fixings to use, we recommend consulting a competent tradesperson.

Oak is a natural material, and every board is unique. No two oak shelves will ever look identical — and that’s part of the beauty.

Colour variation
Solid oak can vary in tone from light golden hues to deeper honey shades. Over time, exposure to light will naturally mellow and deepen the colour. This is not a defect — it is a natural characteristic of genuine solid oak.

Grain and knots
You may see natural knots, grain variation, small checks or character markings, and subtle colour shifts. These features add authenticity and character to your window sill.

Joined boards (for wider widths)
For widths generally over 150mm+, boards may be professionally joined to achieve the required depth. Carefully match grain and tone to ensure a seamless, natural appearance. All joints are structurally secure and finished to the same high standard.

Natural movement
As a natural timber product, oak may expand or contract slightly depending on environmental conditions. Correct installation and acclimatisation will minimise movement.

At Celtic Timber, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. We source our timber from sustainably sourced certified forests, ensuring responsible management and protection of natural resources.

We also actively contribute to reforestation and rewilding projects across the UK, planting over 12,000 trees on our own land. By choosing our products, you’re supporting a company dedicated to reducing environmental impact and preserving the planet for future generations.
